MedScan3D selected for prestigious Asian trade mission

Leading Irish 3D printing company 3D Technology Ltd., along with sister company MedScan3D, have been selected for a prestigious EU funded trade mission to South East Asia, taking place from the 8th to 15th of December.

The EU Gateway & Business Avenues mission in Healthcare & Medical Technologies will travel to Singapore & Indonesia, markets that have been identified as providing particularly strong growth opportunities for European companies.

The chosen companies selected for the business mission will travel to both markets for the weeklong event, which includes networking events, a site visit and participation in South East Asia’s biggest industry event, Medical Fair Asia 2020.

It’s a valuable opportunity for any company interested in expanding to South East Asia given the extensive logistical and financial support offered, with 3D Technology Ltd. founder James Wall excited to explore potential export opportunities.

Medical Fair Asia

“First and foremost we are delighted to have been chosen for the mission. Considering there were only 50 companies chosen across Europe it represents a significant endorsement of our business. There is no doubt regarding the huge potential in the South East Asia market, and having the opportunity to participate in this programme is of huge benefit to us.”

As part of the mission, 3D Technology and MedScan3D will be featured in a comprehensive promotional campaign run in both Indonesia and Singapore. Promotion will include media activities, with a press release distributed to targeted media containing details of the products & services offered by the company.

The business mission will first arrive in Singapore to participate in one of Asia's largest tradeshow, Medical Fair Asia 2020, which will allow invaluable networking and product showcase opportunities. While the mission as a whole promises to provide a range of benefits to participating companies, MedScan3D Technical Director Jacqui O’Connor is particularly looking forward to the Medical Fair Asia tradeshow.

“Medical Fair Asia is South East Asia's most definitive event for the medical and healthcare industry, gathering the region's hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation sectors. Having the chance to attend and meet leading medtech stakeholders in the region promises to be a hugely important development for us.”

Upon the completion of the tradeshow, the mission then moves on to Indonesia for 2 days of pre-arranged business meetings, allowing participating companies meet potential customers and discuss possible trade opportunities. While the organisers remain confident that the trip will take place despite the current Covid-19 challenges, they are continuing to monitor the situation closely, with the safety of all concerned of paramount importance.”

With the significant growth of South East Asia’s medical device market set to continue for the coming years, the EU Gateway & Business Avenues mission promises to be a valuable trip for both 3D Technology Ltd. and MedScan3D.
